Back in the mid-80's I read Ken Dychtwald's book "Bodymind" and became fascinated with the idea of increasing body awareness through hands-on approaches, such as Rolfing.

In 1991, I finally got "rolfed". My "Rolfing" experience changed me structurally so profoundly, that I no longer percieved the world the same as I did prior to that event. I was different, yet I couldn't quite grasp what had happened to me. I spent time researching this and other modalities and in 1993 I took my first massage course with Robert Brown out in Santa Rosa, CA. I practiced massage part-time, learning the ropes, getting a "feel" (no pun intended) for the work, while I kept my 'real' job as a production foreman. By the year 2000, tired of 27 years with the "company", and with the help of a good, swift kick in the gluteus maximus by a friend, I swallowed my fear, quit my job, and moved to Boulder, CO to study at the Guild for Structural Integration with Emmett Hutchins and Peter Melchior. Mid-2001, I opened my practice, and thoroughly enjoy walking to work in my socks with a cup of tea in hand, having fun exploring all the interesting possibilities and being open to what my clients can teach me each day.

I've continued my education studying Thai-Yoga massage with Kam Thye Chow in Montreal, Muscle Energy Techniques with Stephan Moran in Connecticut and Hatha Yoga with Ellen B. Schaeffer in Rhode Island.
