Bill Sturm, Sr. (Dad) and his son Joe first opened the doors of Sturm's Appliance in 1992. "We were two, very good technicians with a tiny store, a pickup truck, and a lot of guts," said Dad. Now, after seven years and three Aquidneck Avenue addresses, the Sturm family is anxiously anticipating a September move into their own fifteen thousand square-foot building.

"After nearly two years of hard work, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel," said Bill Sturm, Jr., one of the owners. "It's exciting, and a little scary," Bill explains as he walks amid the tangle of wire and drywall that will soon become part of the largest appliance showroom in the area. "We're bringing in new products, offering new services and hiring new employees, making us a bigger stronger company. It's critical that we not lose touch with our customers who have made us what we are today."

It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of sacrifice," says Joe Sturm, "just ask my wife."
