Each year, the Summer Music Festival Chorus and Orchestra presents the Tony Walton Memorial Concert. The proceeds from this concert and the rest on the season are presented to Covenant To Care. a non profit agency that provides material resources for Connecticut foster children.

Covenant To Care provides:
Connecticut congregations with innovative ideas for ministries which meet the needs of abused, neglected, and impoverished children.

Clergy and others with information, training resources, and referrals relative to the needs of these same children and their families.

Connections to resources for the children and families without regard to their personal affiliation, race, ethnicity or creed.

Covenant To Care is a private, nonprofit organization independent of any other agency or association. Support for the statewide programs of CTC is provided by public grants, the Department of Children and Families, private foundation grants, individual contributions, and donations from religious organizations and congregations.

We rely on the generous support of our members to do this, so we have developed this organization with a very successful model in mind. Membership for the SMF is much like that for a Public radio station: you become a part of the organization.
